Arriving by plane
The nearest international airport to Erlangen is Nuremberg Airport (20km) being connected by highway, bus, train and subway. If you are arriving through this airport, there are several possibilities of transferring to Erlangen:
- Several taxi services operate on this route (20 min.), and their price is around 30 €.
- Regular bus transfer from Nuremberg Airport city bus 33 to "Nürnberg Am Wegfeld" (10 min.) or city bus 32 to "Nürnberg Thon" (12 min.), then change to city bus 30 in the direction "Erlangen Hugenottenplatz" (center of Erlangen, 30 min.) further information
- Subway U2 from Nuremberg Airport to "Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof" (Nuremberg central railway station, 13 min.), then change to train S1 or R2 to "Erlangen Hauptbahnhof" (Erlangen central railway station, 25 min.) further information

Arriving by train

Around the city
Once you have arrived to Erlangen, getting around the city is easy.
